MBKU Pharmacy Shadowing Program- Ambulatory Care Setting
Description
Students shadowing the clinical pharmacists at Ketchum Health, a family medicine clinic, will gain firsthand exposure to the important role ambulatory care pharmacists play in a primary care setting. During their shadowing experience, students will observe clinical pharmacists, Dr. Diana Roman and Dr. Joycelyn Yamzon, as well as P4 pharmacy students, during patient visits and interdisciplinary case discussions. Students will also observe pharmacists address medication access and insurance-related issues. This experience highlights how pharmacists collaborate with MDs and PAs to deliver comprehensive, team-based patient care in an ambulatory care setting.
